Beautiful hand-made 100% organic cotton dolls & stuffed animals.
Made exclusively from 100% ORGANICALLY GROWN COTTON - used for all of the fabrics, stuffing, sewing thread, hair yarns, embroidery yarns, and even the lace!
The colors for the organic cotton fabrics, hair and embroidery yarns are HAND-DYED using NATURAL DYES. These dyes come from flowers, roots, barks, fruits, berries, and leaves - home-grown or hand-gathered. Mid-summer's calliopsis flowers yield a deep orange; late summer's goldenrod gives a bright yellow; autumn's walnuts give a rich brown; and orange madder roots give a red tone! The shredded bark of sustainably harvested logwood bark yields a range of purple tones, and fermented indigo leaves are used for blues. Some tones of brown and green in the fabrics or yarns are from cotton that naturally grows grow this way - they are 'color-grown' organic cottons.
Each doll is unique, and special attention is given to custom detailing, especially in hand-embroidery on the faces and design on the clothing. Each doll or stuffed animal is made so that your child can't part with it!
